Rishi Sunak Became New UK PM

On October 25, King Charles officially confirmed Rishi Sunak as prime minister.

On October 24, former UK economy minister Rishi Sunak was elected prime minister of the UK. It is known that he took part in previous elections and was one of the 2 leaders in the UK's leading post, along with Liz Truss. After the resignation of Liz Truss, a new race began. Boris Johnson and Ben Wallace announced they would not participate in the elections, and Penny Mordaunt did not get 100 votes.

On October 25, King Charles officially approved Rishi Sunak as the kingdom's prime minister. For Ukraine, this is good news since the new PM has not once stated that he will continue and strengthen support for Ukraine in the war against Russia: "I will reinforce our policy of total support for Ukraine that Boris has so ably led."

"President Zelenskyy, brave citizens of Ukraine, be in no doubt that whatever happens here over the coming weeks, the United Kingdom will remain your strongest ally," Rishi Sunak.

"If I become prime minister, I will redouble our efforts and reinforce our policy of total support for Ukraine that Boris has so ably led."

"The Conservative party will stand united together in our support for you."

Commenting on Putin's policy, Sunak stated: "Evil not seen in Europe since WWII," and added: "All of our freedom depends on Ukraine's victory."

Rishi Sunak also made a statement specifically for the people of Ukraine: (he) "won't hesitate to provide you with any further support you require as you move into a new phase of the conflict, in which your goal is not simply to resist Russian advances but to reverse them and reconstruct."
