Today Starlink provides all over the planet, including Ukraine and Antarctica. Every continent is supplied with an ultra-modern internet connection. This is especially important for Ukraine, which Starlink helps to protect its borders and people. Today, more than 7.000 Starlink installations operate on the territory of Ukraine. The systems serve to restore communications in the territories de-occupied from the Russian presence, as well as to provide communications for individual structures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On February 24, Russia attacked Ukraine. The minister of digital transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, on Twitter turned to Elon Musk with a request to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations and to address sane Russians to stand. To this, the businessman briefly replied: "Starlink service is now active in Ukraine. More terminals en route."
In March, Ukraine received the first Starlink installations, which now ensure the functioning of critical infrastructure in almost all of Ukraine, help protect the capital, and even provide internet connectivity on Ukrainian trains. Today, Starlink systems work in Ukraine not only directly from Elon Musk but also from international businessmen and partner countries. In particular, Poland donated 5.000 systems to Ukraine, which are already serving the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On April 19, Starlink registered its representative office in Ukraine and is now a licensed internet provider in Ukraine.
