An Australian gin company has launched a limited "Ukrainian" collection of Liberation gin to celebrate the liberation of Kherson, where, as even Sunshine & Sons say, "arguably the world's sweetest watermelons are grown!" The city has been under Russian occupation for 9 months, and today Sunshine & Sons offer to add a slice of fresh watermelon to your gin and tonic and raise a glass to Kherson and the heroic efforts of those who liberated it.
"Watermelons are grown around Kherson, since the invasion exports of watermelon have stopped. Now with the liberation exports will resume and again the world can enjoy Kherson watermelons renowned for their sweet and juicy, dense pulp," Sunshine & Sons.
Each bottle of Sunshine & Sons Pineapple Parfait Gin is numbered and costs $99 plus shipping. Proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase metal detectors needed to demine Ukraine.
The gin label was designed by Ukrainian designer Konstantin Des through the Fiverr platform. Konstantin lives in Odesa (Ukraine); On May 10, his house was damaged by a Russian missile. Today, like all Ukrainians, Konstantin lives without electricity due to constant Russian attacks against the Ukrainian energy system.
Sunshine & Sons would like to give a special thanks to Canberra realtor Nathan Burraston who independently launched the Metal Detectors for De-mining Ukraine campaign through the Chuffed platform. Thanks to his efforts, $71.600 have already been collected.
As of November 10, the area of Ukraine that is mined by the Russians and is not suitable for life or farming is equal to the combined area of Virginia, Maryland and Connecticut. Demining ≈ 160,000 km² will take years and hundreds of millions of dollars. You can help speed up the demining of our country through the presidential crowdfunding platform United24.
