Serpent Island Is Under the Ukrainian Flag Again

The island is officially returned under the jurisdiction of Ukraine

On July 30, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated Serpent Island in the Black sea from enemy occupation. It was from him that the Russians began the destruction of the south of Ukraine and planned an attack on Transnistria. Today, the island has officially returned under the jurisdiction of Ukraine, and the flag of Ukraine has been set on its land.

"The flag of Ukraine has been set up on Serpent island. The military operation has been completed and now the territory has again been returned to the jurisdiction of Ukraine," Natalia Gumenyuk, press secretary of the Defense Forces of the south of Ukraine.

We remind you that on February 24, Russia attacked Ukraine. The ships Moskva and Admiral Makarov approached Serpent island and demanded that the Ukrainian border guards on the island surrender. In response, Russian warships received an offer from the Ukrainian side: "Russian warship, go f*ck yourself." The island was captured, and for a long time, the employees of the Serpent island were considered killed. Further, Russia announced that the Ukrainians were alive and in captivity. As of today, all border guards have been rescued from captivity and returned home, and the warships Moskva and Admiral Makarov, which captured Serpent island, have been destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and lie at the bottom of the Black Sea.
