On May 23, Joe Biden told a press conference in Tokyo about the consequences of the war, which affect not only Ukraine. This war is taking place on the territory of Ukraine, and its goal is not only genocide of Ukrainians but also an attack against the entire economic order, which we (unlike Russia) achieved during the periods of its daily development.
"One of the reasons Putin should pay a high price for barbarism in Ukraine. The reason is that this is not just about Ukraine," Joe Biden.
According to the president, the price for Russia, first of all, will be long-term sanctions. Recall that on May 22, Antony Blinken, speaking to graduates of Georgetown University, subtly joked about Putin: "My staff wouldn't let me take a guitar to sing the song "We are never ever getting back together" and dedicate it to Putin. They said it was "undiplomatic."
We also recall that on May 21, Joe Biden ratified the provision of $40 billion of military assistance to Ukraine within the Lend-lease framework.
