On January 24, Jens Stoltenberg had a dialogue with Boris Pistorius, after which encouraging information appeared regarding Leopard tanks for Ukraine.
"We had a good discussion today on the issue of German battle tanks. I am sure that a solution will be found soon, and I welcome the message from the minister that all our allies who have Leopard tanks can freely identify those Leopard tanks that can be available to Ukraine, prepare them, and start training Ukrainian groups on these battle tanks," Jens Stoltenberg.
The NATO secretary emphasized how important international support for Ukraine with heavy weapons is now. Since Putin does not plan to stop the war, which is destructive not only for Ukraine and Europe but also for Russia, "the only way to live in peace is to make Putin understand that he will not win on the battlefield."
In turn, defence minister Boris Pistorius said that the decision to release the Leopards would soon be ready, and Ukraine's allies should also be prepared for its prompt implementation.
