With the start of a full-scale attack on Ukraine, it became clear that not only the giants of NATO and the European Union could help Ukraine. Business owners and people without millions of dollars of wealth and world influence have brought incredible support to Ukraine and its people. Companies (Maserati, LEGO), performers (Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne), actors (Cate Blanchett, Richard Gere) and ordinary Ukrainian children from Krivyy Rih and Chernihiv regions donated funds to Ukraine to help those who suffered from the war.
The American guitar manufacturer Gibson has created unique guitars in the Ukrainian style. The guitars will be sold at Julien's Auctions, and the money will be donated to reconstruct post-war Ukraine.
"We stand with the nation of Ukraine. Ukraine is in the heat of a battle, and while we support and endorse guitars over guns, sending guitars to Ukraine would be of little help or support at this time. There will come a time of rebuilding and renewed growth, and we want to help. Gibson luthiers have crafted a limited run of four Ukrainian-inspired Les Paul Custom guitars that will go on a journey around the globe to be passed from artist to artist as a show of unity to raise money and awareness. At the end of the journey, an auction will be held to raise money for Ukrainian relief," says Gibson.
Start of online trading — November 10. The auction will last until November 13th. All proceeds will be donated to Ukraine's urgent humanitarian needs, to the Disasters Emergency Committee, and to rebuilding Ukraine's music industry after the war.
